| John Evans has been a Personal Trainer for 14 years. Through much of this time he has worked in London, training clients in both the City and West End together with some time spent in Australia and New Zealand.
Clients have included city workers, people in media and music in addition to international sportsmen and women.
John’s interest in exercise in training stems from an extensive sporting background including athletics, football, rugby and boxing. A former amateur boxer he enjoyed
a long rugby career with London welsh RFC in addition to playing club rugby in Wales, New Zealand and Australia. He has run the New York and London marathons.
John’s qualifications are extensive and he is a physiology graduate of King’s College London. He is a professional member of the American College of Sport’s Medicine
(ACSM) and achieved ACSM Health Fitness Specialist certification and is an ACSM
Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer (also accredited with American Cancer Society).
He is recognised as a Performance Stability Trainer with Kinetic Control, an internationally respected trainer of physiotherapists. He also holds additional qualifications in nutrition and is accredited as a Level 3 Advanced Instructor with REPs.
John specialises in rehabilitation work with clients recovering from injury and illness. This includes injury prevention work with athletes and sports people where he has a successful track record in this field as part of wider sports specific training. He also has experience and training in exercise and pregnancy and instructs boxing to a high level. John is accredited with The British Boxing Board of Control through world champion boxer David Haye’s Outbox programme.
John is currently a tutor and assessor with a nationally accredited training provider for the fitness industry. He is also part of a group that delivers health and fitness presentations to corporate clients.
